Michael Winters is a Canberra based artist. Always exploring new ways to express ideas, his work has traversed painting, printmaking and more recently collage and relief works. One of the few individuals to be made an honorary citizen of the Island of Leros, Greece - for his outstanding and unique connection to the island. Michael is an immigrant in reverse - embracing cultures from his base in Australia in a way that allows him to properly explore common ground, ideas and imagery.
