Art Installation
We offer a comprehensive installation service for all fine art, both works purchasd through our gallery and works you may already own. We regularly install gallery style hanging systems and can offer advice on where and how to hang your works. With over a decade of experience installing artworks in both homes and offices, we have never met a picture we cannot hang. Masonry walls, gyprock walls, difficult access, one picture or your whole home or office, we can do it all!
Conservation Framing
 Our framing service is available to the public. We specialise in high quality, hand-crafted conservation standard frames. Typically, our clients include artists, students, businesses and individuals. Hardware Gallery has always aimed to deliver consistently superior quality frames at excellent prices. We offer only the best quality materials including Bainbridge matboards and both imported and locally made mouldings. Whether you have one frame or one hundred, we are always keen to provide you with a quote and the best advice on all framing needs. Our framing service has been operating since the late 1980's.

We offer a full canvas stretching service onsite in our workshop. We can restretch existing paintings onto a variety of stretcher bars and also offer custom made artists pre-primed canvas. Over half a dozen different sized stretcher bars are available and we stock various types of high quality cotton, linen and 100% polyester canvas.We have a good range of pre-made artists canvas in smaller sizes that are made up from our offcuts and available for sale at discount prices.
Art materials
Our range of artists materials is available via our order-in service. By ordering in the materials you need, we are able to provide artists and students with the best value service. We aim to beat the prices of any retailer and get you the art materials you need at awesome prices. Oil paints, watercolours, acrylics, brushes, mediums and more. You tell us what you need and we will find it for you at a great price.
Timber Staining
Hardware Gallery hand stains and finishes many frame mouldings. All profiles are available in tassie oak and pine, and can be finished in a variety of oil based timber stains and any colour in painted acrylic. We finish our timbers in a variety of waxes, oils and commercial formulas. If you need a frame painted to an exact colour or matched to a particular timber, we can do this for you.
Art Conservation
 Hardware Gallery is your perfect port of call for advice and help conserving your valuable art. We work with professionally trained conservators who carry out a full range of art conservation. In conjuction with their expert services, Hardware can also repair or replace the framing components that have seen better days. Often, we can advise on simple repairs to the frame components and suggest upgrades to UV protective glazing and archival mounting that will help protect your art pieces for many years to come.
